Season 1 of The Magnus Archives ran from 24 March 2016 to 13 October 2016. It was followed by Season 2 on 1 December 2016.
Plot[]
Jonathan Sims is promoted to Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute after the death of the previous Archivist, Gertrude Robinson. Seeing that the Archives are in a state of complete disorder, John decides to organise, digitise, and record audio versions of the case files in the form of an introduction, the statement, and supplemental commentary. However, certain statements play back as garbled static on digital recordings and must be recorded using tape recorders.
As John organizes the Archives, he discovers a deeper mystery hidden between the statements. Although he is initially skeptical, after the silver parasitic worms that were first mentioned in a statement begin appearing around The Magnus Institute and an archival assistant is attacked by the worm-infested Jane Prentiss, John begins to admit that the dark forces described in them may be very real indeed.
